Showreel

It's official, I'm done with college. One of the last tasks I had to complete was showreel. Due to the lack of new animations, I had to use scenes from Ferm Flower. The only extra thing are puppets breakdowns. So yeah, this video should be treated more as some sort of trailer for Fern Flower than actual showreel.

FernFlower Update3

FernFlower is done. Completed. Finished. Yet I still may fiddle with some parts that can be improved and hopefully polish up sound edit. Oh and find a helpful soul for the voice over part.

 

Also, I'm hoping to prep a little teaser trailer to upload soon. Finished animation will be first shown during Final Year Show at LCA (12-18.06).

Puppets I used for Fern Flower animation. Each part was on separeted layer because animating by changing rotation value and moving anchor points is so fun :)

FernFlower Update2

I'm done with most of animations (tbh it's submission ready, but I still want to tweak so many things), got a rough edit. Sound. I need to start sound editing because right now all you can hear it's silence.

But hey, I'm happy with how the whole project is coming alone, there are few scenes I'm particulary happy with and bunch of others that I hate and want to change. To be completly honest I never ever before poured so much energy and love into a single project. Hopefully all my hard work'll pay off and people will enjoy this little animation. If not, I'll need to find a different route to world damnation domination.

FernFlower Update

This blog became awfully quiet lately and I know the reason behind it. FernFlower, my end of year project that's been eating up all my free time (which after Alice came is a rarity itself). Luckily, it's only 2 weeks left until the death sentence deadline, which means I'll get back to normal drawing - posting schedule (like there ever been one). Or at least I'll try, because there is project I'm involved in and really want to devote my time to it after wrapping up college assements.But hey, I got some sketchbook pages to scan and share.
Oh and as a proof I'm not just simply blaming FernFlower for everything, below is a little screencap of one of the scenes. Almost done on animation, time to start panicking about sound design and final edits.

Wish me luck, I need it!

Few test background for a personal animation project that I'm hoping to finish around May. Just messign with backgrounds. Also (fun fact), I killed two light grey markers with this sketches.

Sketchy concepts of plants for little animation project.

Alien Planet simple test

Simple tests I did for my VFX project. For the green screen shot I want the camera to be zooming into the alien world. 3D layers in After Effects are fun to play with and now I just need to detail this composition properly and make it pretty :) Flying orbs actually indicate flying aliens;).
