Final Year Show

Yes, it's official, I'm done with Uni for sure. Final Year Show is currently on and you can find opening times here.

Me, Alice and my Fern Flower bits and bobs, thinking process explained.

We came for opening evening yesterday and had a look at most of the exhibits. Some were, some bad, but overall I wasn't as good as I recall. Previous years were a lot better I think. I got high hopes for Printed Textiles - they always had amazing designs, but this time round it all look rather boring. But, hey, nevermind, it's just mine opinion and I'm not an artsy-fartsy type of person. Oh and avoided Fine Art. I might come back and take a proper look during the week, we shall see. ;)

::Marvel Time::

 I haven't posted outfit photos in a while now.. Kinda missed it really, it's fun. I think I might start doing it more often as it is warm now :).
An unusual post from me since it's April Fool's Day tomorrow ;) It's my new Marvel-esque look which I'm gonna rock this spring :) Both jumper and tights comes from Primark, I got heels last year fairly cheap from Internationale sale. And hat.. oh, hat is just from SportsDirect kids section ;)

I'm already in love with these items, jumper is so comfy and warm. And really really long, even tho it's size 6 (but hey I'm small xD). Also, sorry for messy garden.. I need to take care of it soon, it doesn't look good at all. I got plenty of seeds to plant, but never enough time ;).

::Cornwall Trip::

Last June we travelled all the way down to Cornwall's little lovely town called Penzance. As hotel rooms seemed to be a bit pricey we decided to try out camping. And it was awesome.
Weather maybe wasn't as perfect as we wanted but hey, it wasn't raining and thats good. Still, a bit too chilly during night to sleep outdoors.

 I was planning a Cornwall trip for quite some time, so many places to visit, so much to see & do. Stunning cliffs and clear sea water, St Ives and other magical villages, but not enough time to explore it all.
After all we've decided to visit Minack Theather and explore a cliff trail nearabout. Stunning views I would recomend to any trail waking fanatic ;) And that shiney clear sea water, so magical. Felt more like holidays abroad (perhaps Greece) than a bit dull UK.
 Little fun fact we learnt during that trip: there are sharks swimming around England and basking sharks are the most common around Cornwall - you can book a special trip for that!

 Below a little napkin scribbles done in KFC :)

::Garden Update::

Last year I was pretty proud of my garden, having your own cherry tomatoes and beautiful flowers is the best thing. This year I've decided to take it step futher and plant more! However my mighty plan didn't work 100% as I've planned - massive fencing bush is casting way too much shadows (and I can't do much about that). In the end I've managed to grow similiar flowers as in previous year plus few new ones - and that include massive sunflowers! I've also planted tomato and pepper plants in May, unfortunately only tomatoes survived and a good crop of yummy toms is on its way :)

A very random but pretty poppy that decided to grow together with dill and parsley plants.

I'm proud of my garden and as a gardening beginner I could say that I've done pretty decent job :) I'm going to take it to the next level next year, wish me luck.

::Outfit Post - June::

Finally weather is getting a bit warmer and allows for more crazy outfits. Honestly, I can't wait to wear all those dresses, skirts and shorts that are buried in wardrobe for ages.
For the first time in this little feature I'm not wearing my fave jacket. Hoooray!
::details::
shirt - Primark
shorts - Internationale
tights -eBay
heels - Internationale
You will never guess, but those shoes are so comfy! Really. As I'm not really a high-heel person (I like to look at them but hardly ever wear a pair) and my balance is a bit off, haha.
I kinda like my hair, they've been slowly growing back and I can't wait to dye them again (rainbow colours, yay!). Also I was wondering, if I should make those posts about life a bit more often or leave it as a monthly feature? What do you think?

::May - Month Full of Adventures::

May was quite a busy month, not only I've finished first year of DFGA,but also got family in-law staying for few days :). It was a blast, weather was just perfect. Managed to visit quite a few places, so much fun.
 Went to Blackpool for the first time and found this awesome thing on pavement. Ooh Betty! But that's not the only thing that Blackpool had to offer - great promenade and piers, cute shops and awesome looking trams.
Another great place was The Deep in Hull (living in Leeds can sometimes be a good thing ;)
Great place, so many pretty fishes and sharks, definately going to visit it again and again this year.
Obligatory jumping outfit photo below ;)
We also took our family to Roundhay Park, Tropical World and Golden Acre Park. Ofcourse I had to do something a bit unusual ;) And this stunning Acer bush... perf!
We had a great time and it's such a shame they're already gone back home. I have a lot more photos to share, but I really want to keep this blog mostly as a little digital sketchbook. Posting photos from time to time doesn't hurt tho;)
I will post some art next week, I promise :)!

::Malaga Trip Recap::

Two weeks ago me and my hubby were in sunny, warm Malaga, slowly enjoying our short honeymoon. I really like refering to this trip as a 'honeymoon-part1'' :). I've decided to share few of the moments from this special trip to warm you up (it's snowing in Leeds now!).
I've to admit - I felt in love with Costa del Sol! Palm trees, parrots flying around, sunshine and beaches.. I'm not really fussy, for it's a perfect place to live (and luckily for me beach was full of pretty seashells!)
And as you probably noticed - I was rocking my new pairs of printed leggings. Oh my, I love galaxy pair! 'Paint splashes'  is second on my fav list (and a must to wear this spring season, once it get warmer ofcourse!).

I'm going to take a proper outfit photo for April this time :). Now let me go back to my concept tasks :)
It is a post #200 so lets celebrate and hope that there will be at least another 200 of them :)!
